I really like the IaI service and have already made 5 purchases. I am hooked and look forward to new offers in the future (perhaps FaxMania among others?). However, I have a lot of trouble with aborter links. I usually have to make 6 to 10 calls before I successfully receive keys and messages. Since I am calling from Bermuda, which isn't permitted to use your 800 number for some reason (as are other areas like the Caribbean), the cost of making an IaI purchase can be a little expensive. Everything seems to go alright until the downloading of the keys and then I get the "aborted...please retry" message. I hope I am not being billed for multiple orders of the same thing each time. Also, even when I finally get the message confirming the arrival of the keys, the software does not seem to appear in the Instant Volume right away. The other night the volume was empty for at least 15 minutes and thinking that I had somehow lost the software, I started re-ordering again. I was about to give up when the software suddenly appeared in the volume. Do you have any suggestions about what I might be doing wrong? In addition to my system information that you already have, I am using a Prometheus Home Office modem with your default initialization string but with error correction and compression turned off. I have also tried various speeds form 1200 to 9600 baud. Hope you can help.

Your In an Instant purchases are not charged to your credit card until after the Linker acknowledges your receipt of the key and terminates the connection normally. So, if you don't receive the product you won't be charged.
Also, we are in the process of installing an International wide-area network for Linking. This will allow local access in most areas and improved communication. We hope to have this completely implemented within the next month or two.
Any software purchased via In an Instant can be accessed immediately from the Nautilus shell. One exception would be if you had purchased other items from the same disc in an earlier transaction. You would then need to trash the Instant Volume and choose "Mount Instant Volume" from the IaI Menu. The newly purchased software would then appear in the Instant Volume.
